The Applied Nutrition Science Program at Orca Institute is an intensive 4-month program designed to prepare students for the nutrition industry. Students will not only become experts on food and nutrition, but will also learn the best and current practices implemented by professional nutrition practitioners including, nutrition and diet assessment, meal plan development, and client relationship. Our unique curriculum has been developed by registered dietitians and practicing health professionals. It includes 340 hours of instruction delivered by highly trained and professional instructors as well as 40 hours of guided practicum to ensure student success during and after the completion of the program.
The Applied Nutrition Science Program offers small class sizes which allow students to have individualized guidance and assistance from our qualified instructors. Students will be provided the opportunity to apply theories learned in class with the supervised practicum outside of the classroom. Experiencing hands-on training during the program gives our students a solid foundation and advantage when they enter the nutrition and health industry.

This comprehensive program provides the knowledge and the skills needed for high-quality nutritional coaching and advising, covering a wide range of essential topics. Students will learn up-to-date curriculum and applications required to address and assist in nutrition and health concerns. Other areas covered in the program include industry climate and trends, government policies, and business fundamentals.
